There is a Cornucopia of Therapeutic Value in ‘Stillness’
However, there are secrets to accessing this highly desirable and therapeutically valuable ‘stillness’.
INTERNALIZING AWARENESS
I call it ‘internalizing our awareness’ and it’s an amazingly effective process for transcending the limiting and frustrating influences of the ego.
The ego, or in Ayurvedic medicine’s vernacular ‘the Ahamkara’, is a limitation, a ceiling and an unnecessary confinement.
The ego’s nature also imposes its relentless desire to claim full credit for all the great accomplishments and benefits of the bodywork treatment.
However, as therapists, we want to be wondrously effective beyond the confounding hindrances of ego.
As sincere therapists, we want to offer unlimited benefits and progress such as spontaneous healing, serene emotions and inspiring rejuvenation. Who knows? Maybe even levitations and raising the dead? Why not?
Internalizing Awareness Method
With a determined and intensely focused concentration on contracting or bracing our internal visceral at the perineal, the diaphragm and the throats regions (or in Ayurvedic vernacular ‘engaging our three main bandhas or locks’), a practitioner can use this ancient secret to transcend the limiting influences of the ego and thus access more perceptive and delicately discerning sensitivity. And of course access amazing benefits too!
The process of internalizing the awareness is also very refreshing to our personal consciousness.
Internalizing our awareness creates a ‘Vairaghya’ or a childlike nature of simplicity and pristine innocence.
I personally feel the miraculous experience of internalizing awareness or Vairaghya to be like the results of ‘drinking from the Fountain of Youth!’
The process or spirit of an internalized awareness effectively dissolves distractions from the external environment including of course the imposed limitations of the ego.
The internalizing process, eventually within moments, disappears everything else from awareness leaving only the purest of therapeutic intentions to remain and thus permitting the most clear and positive sensitivities to procure the best local or overall therapeutic effects imaginable.
Internalizing awareness energizes and mystifies our being while also rejuvenating the deserving recipient.
There are other primary influences for internalizing consciousness to share.
Envisioning the revered inner Drishti or blue light between the eyebrows with extended exhalations or Rachakhas are part of an intriguing menu of empowering details for experiencing an authentic inner heaven.
I will share with you these and other important details in another commentary.
